There are three main applications for magnetic locks:
Surface Mount Application (Standard Application):
In this application, the magnetic bracket is installed on the door, and the electronic magnetic lock is installed below the frame header. The magnetic lock is exposed to the eye and supported by the header and the door frame.
Glass Door Surface Mount Application:
In a glass door application, a special bracket is needed to secure the magnet properly to the glass door edge and to prevent the magnet from slipping from its position.
Concealed Mount Application (Shear Magnetic Lock):
In this installation, the magnet is installed concealed inside the top or the bottom stud of the door and locks to the floor or the header. The device is installed in specific locations to achieve a clean and elegant look with no hardware appearance.
